Arrest Made in Vaughan Murder Case

Police report that one suspect involved in a deadly shooting that occurred in Vaughan, Ont., back in January has been taken into custody last week.

York Regional Police stated that a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds was found near Winges and Rowntree Dairy roads on January 26.

The victim was rushed to the hospital but later died from his injuries.

According to police, a 19-year-old suspect from Mississauga was apprehended in the northern Ontario town of Moosonee on Thursday. He faces charges of first-degree murder and arson.

Authorities are still searching for another suspect, a 19-year-old man from Edmonton who is wanted on a Canada-wide warrant for murder and arson charges.

This individual is also sought in connection with a fatal shooting outside a Toronto shopping centre that took place on February 7.
