A collision between two SUVs on Highway 400 southbound near Rutherford Road has left two people injured and caused traffic delays during Monday’s rush hour.

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) reported that the accident led to the closure of three right lanes on this busy highway section. The severity of the injuries sustained by those taken to the hospital is still not known.

The lanes were reopened early on Monday morning, according to OPP.

The incident created a temporary traffic jam in the area, with drivers advised to expect delays and look for alternate routes.

Police and emergency responders remain at the scene as they continue their investigation.
