Authorities report that two men and two boys have been charged after a 24-year-old man was abducted in Vaughan, Ont., and kept for several days.
York Regional Police state the victim was at a parking lot near Jane Street and Highway 7 on Nov. 14 when he was approached by the suspects, who then forced him into a vehicle.
According to police, the victim was released with minor injuries in the vicinity of Meadowvale Road and Sheppard Avenue in Toronto on Nov. 19.
Law enforcement executed search warrants at various residences in Toronto, leading to the arrest of four individuals.
A 31-year-old man and an 18-year-old man from Toronto face charges including kidnapping for ransom, forcible confinement, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, as well as arson among other offenses.
The two boys aged 15 are charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, conspiracy to commit an indictable offence, and arson.
Police believe there may be additional suspects still at large and are actively searching for them.
