The 164th annual Tillsonburg Agricultural Fair will take place this weekend.

TILLSONBURG – This weekend marks the return of the Tillsonburg Agricultural Fair for its 164th year.

It starts on Friday, June 22nd and wraps up on Sunday, June 24th. Admission is just $8, and kids under five can enter for free.

The opening ceremonies will kick off at 6:00 p. m. on Friday night, followed by the crowning of the Junior Ambassador and the Mini King and Queen. Entertainment starts at 7:00 p. m.

President Rosemary Dean shares that there’s an exciting new event planned for Saturday.

“Saturday we have Comic-Con. We will have Brampton Batman, Deadpool, the Bumble Bee from Transformers and a few others. That’s all part of the admission to get into the fair, there’s no extra cost to go to Comic-Con.”

There will be plenty of other activities throughout the weekend including a demolition derby, a tractor pull, a rabbit show, a petting zoo, an ice cream eating contest and much more.

Dean also mentioned they’ve enhanced their midway this year.

“This year we are happy we have the World’s Finest Show’s. We have some amazing rides coming.”

They think that the 90-foot drop zone will be a big hit at the fair. They’re also looking for local talent who want to volunteer to perform on their stage.
