Downtown Simcoe BIA is keeping its Downtown Friday Nights series going on Argyle St. The event on July 7 will showcase a mix of entertainment, food, vendors, and activities for kids. JULY
WING NIGHT: Join us at the Simcoe Legion on West Street in Simcoe on Friday, July 7 from 5 to 8 p. m. in the Memorial Hall. It costs $11 for one pound of wings, $22 for two pounds, and $30 for three pounds. Everyone’s invited!
SIMCOE’S DOWNTOWN FRIDAY NIGHTS: The Downtown Simcoe BIA is hosting Downtown Friday Nights on Argyle St. in Simcoe again. On Friday, July 7, children’s activities kick off at 5 p. m., with Andy The Balloon Guy performing at 5:30 p. m. Live music starts at 7 p. m., featuring Aged and Mellow followed by Drop Disco at 8 p. m. There will be vendors and delicious food for the whole family to enjoy. Admission is free! Future dates include July 21, August 4, and August 18.
CHICKEN BBQ: Happening at the Teeterville Legion on July 8 with serving starting at 5 p. m. It’s $20 for half a chicken with bun, coleslaw and fries. You can buy tickets ahead of time or on the day (until they sell out). These tickets go fast so it’s best to get them early! They’re available during business hours at the Legion: Wed.-Fri., from 3-10 p. m.; Sat., from1-10 p. m.; Sun., from1-6 p. m. Stick around for music by Easy as PI! CONCERT: There’s an outdoor gospel concert featuring Vessels of Honour on July 9 at Burtch Baptist Church starting at 7 p. m., located at352 Cockshutt Rd., Brantford. Wheelchair accessible with a freewill offering.
MUSIC ON THE LAWN: The popular Sunday evening summer concert series returns weekly on Annandale National Historic Site’s front lawn in Tillsonburg! Bring your lawn chairs along! Each week features different musical artists (weather permitting). This series runs until late August thanks to Tillsonburg Historical Society; donations are appreciated! Performers include Back to the Fifties (July9), George Fulop (July16), Ken Lightheart and North Shore Ramblers (July23), Terri Stanhope (July30), among others through August.
