Highway 17 between Nipigon and Schreiber was closed for several hours on Saturday.

Authorities cited bad road conditions and several transports that got stuck as the main reasons.

Highway 11 east of Nipigon to Beardmore was also shut down, initially due to a jack-knifed transport.

Minor injuries were reported by Provincial Police in that incident.

Traffic cameras showed barricades at the intersection of Highways 11 and 17.
