Ontario’s Particular Investigations Unit is probing a capturing close to Thunder Bay during which a person was shot and wounded by a police officer on Boxing Day.
Investigators say at round 2 p.m., Thunder Bay police responded to reviews of a person strolling with a shotgun on Freeway 11/17 and Pebblestone Street, about 30 kilometres west of Thunder Bay.
The SIU says the 58-year-old man fired his weapon and struck a police automobile.
Because of this, he was shot by an officer and rushed to hospital with a critical harm.
No different accidents have been reported and one topic official and one witness official have been designated to the case.
