Highway 11 has reopened after a deadly accident near Kenogamisis Dam Road; OPP requests dashcam footage.

Greenstone OPP, TIME team investigates accident involving two commercial trucks and a pickup

GREENSTONE, ON – Feb. 12, 2026 – Highway 11 is back open following a tragic three-vehicle crash northeast of Geraldton that resulted in one fatality and multiple injuries, according to Ontario Provincial Police.

The Greenstone OPP reported that officers responded around 5:30 p. m. EST to the scene of the collision near Kenogamisis Dam Road which involved two commercial motor vehicles and one pickup truck.

Authorities say the driver of the pickup, a 43-year-old man from Toronto, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Injuries and hospital transfers

According to OPP, two individuals, including a passenger in the pickup, were airlifted to hospitals with serious injuries. A third person was also taken to hospital with injuries that haven’t been confirmed yet.

Highways 11 and 631 reopen

Parts of Highway 11 and Highway 631 were closed for some time while the OPP Traffic Incident Management Enforcement (TIME) team conducted its investigation.

Police confirm that Highway 11 (from Nipigon to Cochrane) has reopened along with Highway 631 (from Hornpayne to Highway 11).

OPP seeking witnesses and dashcam video

Investigators are urging anyone who witnessed the incident or may have dashcam footage from around that time to reach out to OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
