In a move to enhance support for customers and foster growth in Thunder Bay, Ontario, and its nearby areas, Epiroc is launching a new facility to be closer to local operations.

This new location will enable the Epiroc team to provide quick service and assistance while collaborating with customers to help them meet their productivity targets on site, according to the OEM.

Thunder Bay, Ontario, and the surrounding region are becoming increasingly significant for the mining & construction sectors in Canada, especially as developments around the “Ring of Fire” progress.

The facility is situated at 1239 Amber Drive and spans 9,862 sq. ft (916 sq. m) featuring warehouse space and a Rock Drill Repair Center.

Over the next few months, the building will undergo some minor renovations to align with Epiroc’s standards. Once finished, local customers will be invited to visit the updated facility and connect with the team directly.

It concluded: “Epiroc’s move marks a first step towards becoming a key partner as Thunder Bay transforms into a major hub for the mining & construction industry.”
