A 65-year-old man from St. Thomas is being sought on several charges related to a reported road rage incident on Tuesday, where he allegedly assaulted and threatened a teenager.
St. Thomas police say the event took place Tuesday afternoon, when the suspect reportedly followed another vehicle into a parking lot on the city’s south side, got out of his car, and attacked the other driver, who is a 16-year-old from St. Thomas.
The confrontation was captured on surveillance camera, leading to the man’s charges via warrant for one count each of assault, assault causing bodily harm, and uttering threats.
“The CCTV provided to police showed the man leaving the area at a high rate of speed, nearly hitting two individuals,” police said, adding that a charge of careless driving was also made.
Authorities have issued an arrest warrant for the 65-year-old man; however, his identity has not been disclosed.
