The Niagara area is getting ready for another round of severe weather on Sunday with tornado warnings in effect. This comes as the region is still dealing with over 140 millimetres of rain from earlier this week.
Environment Canada has confirmed that we received 45 to 65 millimetres of rain Sunday afternoon. While there have been no reports of wind damage or tornadoes locally, CHCH News did report a funnel cloud spotted past the Thorold exit on the QEW around 12:30pm. Some residents in St Catharines we talked to are still cleaning out their basements from the last storm and are hoping to avoid another heavy downpour.
