Niagara regional police have started looking into a deadly tent fire in St. Catharines, Ont., from earlier this week as a homicide case.

Officers on patrol noticed the tent fire in a wooded area of Mountain Locks Park early Tuesday morning.

The police reported that firefighters put out the fire and discovered a deceased man at the scene.

The man was identified as 53-year-old Kenneth Dombroskie, who did not have a permanent address.

Investigators confirmed that his death was ruled a homicide.

The police are urging anyone with details to reach out to them.
