Authorities have issued an arrest warrant for a mother from Ontario who is accused of taking her child to Russia earlier this year and has “made no attempt” to return home.
The South Simcoe Police Service shared the details of the arrest warrant in a news release on Monday, claiming that the child involved is an infant.
They mentioned that in March, officers began investigating after the father reported that the child’s mother had taken them to Russia, allegedly for a family visit.

Meanwhile, the father went to family court and obtained an order requiring the mother to come back with their child. Police stated she did not follow this order.
