Organization gets funding to support tourism in Bruce, Grey, Simcoe

REGIONAL TOURISM ORGANIZATION 7

The Regional Tourism Group 7 (RTO7) is happy to announce that it has been awarded essential Authorities of Canada funding via the Tourism Development Program, delivered within the area by the Federal Financial Growth Company for Southern Ontario (FedDev Ontario).

This funding will assist the implementation of the Tech Compass program, designed to empower tourism companies in Bruce, Gray, and Simcoe counties via their technological developments.

The Tech Compass program is a collaboration of efforts between RTO7, Group Futures South Georgian Bay and Rappid Software program Design. It goals to speed up digital transformation within the tourism sector by offering companies with the instruments and information wanted to thrive in an more and more digital panorama. This funding will present as much as 70 collaborating companies throughout the area with entry to knowledgeable steerage and assets to implement cutting-edge applied sciences that can enhance operational effectivity and improve visitor experiences.

William Sullivan, CEO of RTO7, expressed his gratitude for the funding, stating: “This investment is a game changer for the tourism industry in our region. The Tech Compass program will empower local businesses to embrace new technologies, enhance visitor experiences, and remain competitive in a rapidly evolving market. We are thrilled to see the federal government recognizing the importance of technological innovation in driving the future of tourism.”

The Authorities of Canada continues to exhibit its dedication to revitalizing and increasing the tourism sector via focused assist initiatives. Highlighting this dedication, the Hon. Filomena Tassi, minister liable for the Federal Financial Growth Company for Southern Ontario, acknowledged: “The Tech Compass program is an exciting addition to the tourism ecosystem of Bruce, Grey and Simcoe counties, bringing together key stakeholders and partners, like Community Futures South Georgian Bay, to help this key sector in the region reach new heights. Congratulations to Regional Tourism Organization 7 on this wonderful new tool. The Government of Canada is pleased to support initiatives like this through the Tourism Growth Program.”

By fostering innovation and digital adoption, the Tech Compass program will assist create and keep jobs, appeal to new guests, and strengthen the area’s economic system. Tourism companies in Bruce, Gray, and Simcoe counties are inspired to use for the Tech Compass program. Profitable candidates will obtain assist in assessing their digital wants, creating implementation plans, and executing technological upgrades.
