NORFOLK COUNTY, ON – On Thursday, October 16, 2025, the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) discovered human remains in a wooded area near Highway 6 in Haldimand County. These remains are thought to be related to an ongoing homicide investigation in Simcoe. The discovery was made around 6:00 p. m., just off Highway 6, west of Caledonia and south of Stirling Street. A postmortem examination is planned for Friday, October 17, 2025, at the Ontario Forensic Pathology Service (OFPS) to confirm identity and cause of death. OPP is urging residents and anyone who might have been in the vicinity of Highway 6 west of Caledonia and south of Stirling Street on Sunday, October 5, 2025, between 10:30 p. m….
