One person has lost their life after a two-vehicle accident on Highway 6 between Haldimand 55 and Concession 10 Walpole, located south of Hagersville, on Thursday.

Emergency responders arrived at the scene just before 5 p. m. They found that one individual had sustained fatal injuries.
Others involved in the crash were taken to the hospital with injuries that weren’t life-threatening, according to Haldimand County OPP.
The stretch of Highway 6 between Haldimand 55 and Concession 10 Walpole was closed on Thursday evening for an investigation by OPP.

Norfolk County OPP have charged two individuals following an investigation into a vehicle theft in Delhi that took place on January 20.

Officers were sent to a location on Highway 3 just outside Delhi around 2:36 p. m. to look into a motor vehicle theft in progress. Police discovered that two people entered a business, took keys for a pickup truck, and then fled in a stolen vehicle.</pp
The suspects were later found by employees of the business along the Delhi Rail Trail near Nixon Road. They were arrested without incident when officers arrived at the scene, police said.</pp
The provincial police charged a Norfolk County resident aged 43 with theft of a motor vehicle over $5,000; possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000; possession of break-in tools; and failing to comply with probation conditions. The suspect is being held pending bail hearing.<pp

The police also charged a man aged 53 from Norfolk County with theft of a motor vehicle over $5,000; possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000; and dangerous driving. This individual is also being held pending bail hearing.
