One individual has lost their life after a two-vehicle accident on Highway 6, situated between Haldimand 55 and Concession 10 Walpole, just south of Hagersville on Thursday.

A man from Norfolk County died following a two-car crash on Highway 6 between Haldimand 55 and Concession 10 Walpole south of Hagersville on Thursday.

Emergency responders arrived at the site just before 5 p. m.
The driver of one vehicle, a 28-year-old man from Norfolk, unfortunately passed away at the scene, according to police reports.
Others involved in the crash were transported to the hospital with injuries that are not life-threatening, said Haldimand County OPP.
The section of Highway 6 between Haldimand 55 and Concession 10 Walpole was closed on Thursday evening so that OPP could conduct their investigation.

Norfolk County OPP have arrested two individuals following an investigation into a vehicle theft that occurred on Jan. 20 in Delhi.
Panic spread when officers were dispatched to an address on Highway 3 near Delhi around 2:36 p. m., responding to a report of an ongoing vehicle theft. It was discovered that two suspects had entered a business, taken keys for a pickup truck, and left in another stolen vehicle.
The suspects were later spotted by business employees along the Delhi Rail Trail close to Nixon Road. They were apprehended without incident when law enforcement arrived on the scene, as reported by police.
A resident from Norfolk County aged 43 faces charges including theft of a motor vehicle over $5,000, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, possession of burglary tools and failure to comply with probation conditions. This individual is being held in custody until their bail hearing.

A second suspect aged 53 from Norfolk County is also facing charges for theft of a motor vehicle over $5,000 and dangerous driving. This person too is being held pending a bail hearing.
