The County of Simcoe wants to remind residents that some services will be closed or changed during the Family Day holiday, but waste collection will happen as usual.

The County of Simcoe informs residents about the schedule changes for the Family Day holiday on Monday, Feb. 16, 2026.

Curbside Waste Collection and Waste Drop-off Facilities

LINX Transit

LINX Transit services won’t be running on February 16 (except Route 4) Route 4 will follow a Sunday schedule on Monday, February 16 All routes return to their regular schedules on Tuesday, February 17 Please visit https://nextlinx. simcoe. ca/to check all route schedules

County Administration Centre (Midhurst) & Service Simcoe Contact Centre

The Administration Centre and the Service Simcoe Contact Centre will be closed on February 16.

Ontario Works and Children Services

All Ontario Works and Children Services offices will not be open on February 16.

Lake Simcoe Regional Airport

The Lake Simcoe Regional Airport will operate as usual on February 16.

Simcoe County Museum

The Simcoe County Museum is open on February 16 with special programming for Family Day available. For more details, please visit museum. simcoe. ca

Simcoe County Archives

The Simcoe County Archives will be closed on February 16.
