Owen Riegling is continuing to make his hometown proud.
The Mildmay-native has received nominations for four 2026 CMAOntario Awards, including Single of the Year, Male Artist of the Year, Fan’s Choice, and Songwriter of the Year. The nominations for Single and Songwriter of the Year are for Riegling’s hit “Taillight this Town,” which he co-wrote with Kyle Sturrock and James Bell.
The 27-year-old singer-songwriter took home more awards than any other nominee at last year’s show, winning five out of six categories he was nominated in. He also won Album of the Year at the 2025 Canadian Country Music Awards (CCMA) for his album “Bruce County (From The Beginning).”
This year’s CMAOntario Awards will take place at Port Credit Memorial Arena in Mississauga on May 31. They will be hosted by multi CMAOntario, CCMA, and SOCAN Award winner Jason Blaine along with Country Nights host Sam Mc Daid.
Tickets for the 14th annual event go on sale at 11 a. m. on April 6.
