La Salle police have reached out to the Ontario Provincial Police for assistance in solving the town’s first homicide in four years.
On the evening of March 3, officers responded to a residence on Todd Lane, where they discovered a woman suffering from multiple stab wounds. The victim, 43-year-old Nancy Grewal, later passed away from her injuries at Windsor Regional Hospital.
Authorities have executed search warrants at both the Todd Lane home and Grewal’s residence in Windsor. The residents of the Todd Lane home are not viewed as persons of interest in this case.
The investigation is still ongoing under the guidance of the OPP Criminal Investigations Branch. The Office of the Chief Coroner and Ontario Forensic Pathology Service are providing support.
On Sunday, OPP shared footage of a suspect’s vehicle via social media.
