A crash that happened early Sunday morning in Leamington led to charges against a 26-year-old man, while a 34-year-old man from Essex is facing charges after being pulled over on Saturday night.

The Ontario Provincial Police stopped the Essex driver on Gloucester Drive and Cumberland Way around 7:43 p. m. Saturday following reports about his driving behavior.

Officers charged him with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and two counts of impaired driving.

At the same time, a 26-year-old man from Leamington was charged with impaired driving, failure or refusal to comply with a demand, and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle after an accident occurred on Highway 77 near Mersea Road 8.

Both drivers had their licenses suspended for 90 days and their vehicles impounded for one week. They are also set to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Windsor this July.
