York Regional Police have charged a man with sexually assaulting two young girls on a walking trail in Richmond Hill, Ont.
Thirty-year-old Jan-Hoy Cassells, who has no fixed address, is facing charges of sexual interference, sexual assault, sexual assault with a weapon and obstructing justice.

According to police, the first incident took place on Aug. 12 just after 3 p. m. on a trail near Highway 7 and Bayview Avenue.

They allege that Cassells approached the victim, grabbed her, covered her mouth and sexually assaulted her. She was able to break free and escape the area.

Just two days later, at 11:30 a. m. in the same area, police claim that Cassells approached another victim and assaulted her similarly. Again, she managed to get away and run off. After this second alleged incident, he was found nearby and taken into custody. Investigators believe there may be other victims out there.
