The police have named the man who was killed Friday during a shooting incident in Renfrew.

Jonathan Logan, aged 41 and residing in Renfrew County, was found with gunshot wounds at a home on Vimy Boulevard shortly before 10:30 p. m., as stated by the Ontario Provincial Police in a news release on Monday.

He was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The suspect left the scene before law enforcement arrived and remained at large as of Monday afternoon, according to OPP.

Police believe that this shooting may have been targeted.

A number of neighbors told CBC after the incident that the residence has had a troubled history, with one labeling it as a “problem house” while another referred to it as a “frequent drug area.”

Renfrew is located about 100 kilometers west of downtown Ottawa.
