Ontario Provincial Police are looking into a home invasion that occurred at an inn in Renfrew.

According to police, shortly after 9 p. m. on Sunday, officers were called to the inn on Gibbons Road after reports surfaced that two men had entered a room, attacked the occupants with what’s thought to be bear spray, and stole belongings before running away.

Authorities say more officers, including K-9 units, were dispatched to search for the suspects, who have not yet been located.

The investigation by the Renfrew OPP and Renfrew OPP Crime Unit is still active.

Investigators believe this attack was intentional.

If anyone has information about the incident, they are encouraged to reach out to the police.
