A man from Ottawa is among the two fatalities resulting from a head-on collision in Renfrew County.

The OPP reported that they responded to a call about a head-on crash involving a pickup truck on Highway 17, located between Anderson Road and Mc Callum Drive in the Township of Mc Nab/Braeside.

This incident occurred on January 31, shortly after 1 p. m.

Both drivers, a 55-year-old man from Renfrew and a 71-year-old man from Ottawa, were declared dead at the scene.

The section of Highway 17 between Anderson Road and Goshen Road was shut down for an investigation but reopened around 9 p. m. on Saturday.

If you witnessed the collision or have dashcam footage from that area during the time of the event, please reach out to the OPP or submit a tip to Crime Stoppers.
