A 77-year-old man from Ottawa has died following a crash on Highway 17 close to Renfrew, Ont., Wednesday morning. Two vehicles were involved in a collision between Storyland Road and Bruce Street just after 10 a. m., according to the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), as reported by CBC.

A man from Ottawa, aged 77, lost his life in an accident on Highway 17 near Renfrew, Ont., Wednesday morning.

The collision involved two vehicles and took place between Storyland Road and Bruce Street shortly after 10 a. m., as stated by the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) to CBC.

The individual who passed away was not named by the police and was declared dead at the scene. Four other individuals were taken to the hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening, according to OPP.

The stretch of Highway 17 remained closed in that area until approximately 6:30 p. m.
