In the 2018 Ontario election, voters in Huron-Bruce chose to re-elect Lisa Thompson from the Progressive Conservative party as their MPP.

Liberals: Don Matheson
PC: Lisa Thompson (incumbent)
NDP: Jan Johnstone
Green: Nicholas Wendler

Geography

This riding sits beside Lake Huron and includes all of Huron County and the southern part of Bruce County. Huron-Bruce consists of smaller municipalities, with its largest population centers located in Port Elgin and Goderich, each having just over 7,500 residents.

History

The Huron-Bruce riding has had representation in the Legislative Assembly of Ontario since 1987. PC incumbent Lisa Thompson was first elected in 2011 and was re-elected in 2014 after defeating Liberal candidate Colleen Schenk by a margin of 3,882 votes.
