Durham Police are on the lookout for at least three individuals following a failed break-and-enter at a residence in Pickering last week.

At 3:25 a. m. on Tuesday, January 13, two male suspects were spotted at the front door of a home near Turnstone Boulevard and Kerrydale Avenue. According to police, they tried to smash the front door glass to get inside but couldn’t, and then ran off to a waiting white Honda Civic sedan driven by a third suspect.

The first suspect is described as standing 5’10” with an average build. He was seen wearing a black ski mask, dark sunglasses, a dark Nike hoodie, black puffer vest, black jogging pants, and black winter boots.

The second suspect was about 5’8” with an average build as well. He had on a black medical mask, black-framed glasses, a grey hoodie, and black jeans.

If anyone can identify these suspects or has cellphone, dash cam, or surveillance footage related to this incident, they’re encouraged to reach out to D/Cst. Alexander of the West Division Criminal Investigations Branch at 1-888-579-1520 x 1905.

Anonymous tips can be sent to Durham Regional Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or online at www. durhamregionalcrimestoppers. ca where tipsters may qualify for a cash reward.
