Two individuals have been taken into custody as part of a drug trafficking investigation.
In December 2025, the Peterborough/Northumberland OPP Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) launched an inquiry focused on the distribution of cocaine and Fentanyl in the Peterborough region.
On February 5, 2026, officers spotted someone linked to the case leaving a motel. They approached the individual and made an arrest. A second person accompanying them was also arrested, later found to be wanted by the Peterborough Police Service.
Additionally, two others in a vehicle were discovered violating court orders by being together and were subsequently arrested.
The following items were seized during the operation:
• 84 grams of suspected Fentanyl
• 56 grams of suspected cocaine
• 250 suspected Dilaudids
• Multiple cell phones
• $4,880 in Canadian currency
Kody Cummings, age 28 from Peterborough, faces charges for:
• Possession for the purpose of trafficking – Fentanyl
• Possession for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine
• Possession for the purpose of trafficking – Dilaudids
• Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000
Megan Casey, age 42 from Peterborough, is charged with:
• Possession for the purpose of trafficking – Fentanyl
• Possession for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine
• Possession for the purpose of trafficking – Dilaudids
Bail has been set for both individuals to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough.
Christine Leach, age 46 from Peterborough, has been charged with:
• Disobey court order
Andrew Mc Arthur, age 45 from Peterborough is charged with:.brrr • Disobey court order
Leach and Mc Arthur have been released but must return to court on a future date.
