Fire Tragedy in Peterborough Claims One Life

Authorities report that a house fire in Peterborough has resulted in one fatality and left two others hospitalized early Wednesday morning.

Emergency services responded to the blaze near Mc Donnel Street and Park Street North around 3:30 a. m., as stated in a news release.

Upon their arrival, they discovered a 27-year-old man inside the home. He was rushed to the hospital but was later pronounced dead. His identity has not been released yet.

Two other individuals were also taken to the hospital for medical care, but their injuries remain unclear at this time.

The Peterborough police, along with the Ontario Fire Marshal, are currently investigating what caused the fire.
