Peterborough police report that a man is facing multiple charges after being found with paper-made license plates on his vehicle.
According to the police, on January 10, at about 10:15 a. m., officers pulled over a car on Romaine Street near Park Street because the plate number matched a different vehicle from Mississauga.
The officers discovered that the plates were printed on paper and held in a plastic sleeve with packing tape.
A 45-year-old driver was charged under the Highway Traffic Act for violations like using an unauthorized plate and failing to apply for ownership permits. He also faced charges for not having insurance.
