Peterborough police report that a man is facing multiple charges after being found with paper-made license plates on his car.
On January 10, at about 10:15 a. m., officers stopped a vehicle on Romaine Street near Park Street when the plate number matched a different car from Mississauga.
The officers found that the plates were actually printed on paper and held in a plastic sleeve secured with packing tape.
A 45-year-old driver was charged under the Highway Traffic Act for offenses like using an unauthorized plate for the vehicle and not applying for a permit after becoming an owner. He was also charged for lacking insurance.
