A man from Hastings is in trouble over the sharing of intimate images with a minor.

On January 7, 2026, the Peterborough County OPP got a call from a parent who found out their child was chatting with an adult and that the conversation had sexual content.

The parent reached out to the police after checking their child’s phone and discovering sexually explicit images and videos being exchanged between them.

The Peterborough County OPP Major Crime Unit launched an investigation that led to an arrest on January 8.

Forty-eight-year-old Philip Temos was taken into custody and faces charges for;

• Making sexually explicit material available to someone under 18 years old

• Luring a person under 18 years of age using telecommunication

• Possession of child sexual abuse and exploitation material

The accused is currently held pending bail to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough.
