One person has lost their life after a single-vehicle motorcycle crash in Tay Valley Township, located west of Perth.
Lanark County OPP reported that they responded to the incident on Upper Scotch Line, between Scotch Line and Allans Mill Road, at about 6:15 p. m. on Friday.
When officers arrived, they found the lone rider of the motorcycle, a 43-year-old man from Carleton Place. He was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The OPP is continuing their investigation with help from Technical Collision Investigators and Reconstructionists. Upper Scotch Line was closed for several hours while emergency responders and investigators worked at the scene. The road has since reopened.
