In a major turn of events in the murder investigation of Robert Prevost, a 63-year-old man from Clarence-Rockland, authorities have apprehended a third suspect. Prevost’s remains were found in the Ottawa River near Dallaire Street on May 17, 2025, after he was reported missing back in March of that year. The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) confirmed that his death was ruled a homicide. On June 24, 2026, police arrested Yvon Vieno, a 38-year-old from Ottawa.
He is facing charges for first-degree murder, conspiracy to commit murder, and indignity to a body. This arrest comes on the heels of earlier charges brought against two other suspects this month. Vieno is currently held in custody and is set to appear in court on Thursday. Authorities are still seeking information regarding Prevost’s death and urge anyone with details to reach out to the Russell County OPP. UL Lawyers Legal Team
