An investigation is currently in progress following a fire that occurred early in the morning at a funeral home in Oshawa.
The fire started on Monday at the Mc Intosh-Anderson-Kellam Funeral Home, located between King Street East and Bond Street, just east of Mary Street.
Nearby streets were shut down for several hours.
So far, no injuries have been reported.
The funeral home posted a message on their website:
We want to reassure everyone that steps are being taken to secure the property following the fire at Mc Intosh-Anderson-Kellam Funeral Home in Oshawa. The situation is under control, and the safety and well-being of our families, staff, and community remain our highest priority.
