Group fight leaves one dead

Authorities in Oshawa, Ont., are looking for a suspect after a 23-year-old man lost his life following a brawl outside a Tim Hortons. The Durham Regional Police Service reports they arrived on Saturday night after receiving an alert about an armed individual and found a young man with serious injuries who was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. According to police, it was revealed that there had been a confrontation between two groups of men outside the Tim Hortons in the northern part of the city that resulted in fatal injuries to the victim. Police initiated a comprehensive search utilizing canine and air support units for the suspect and several other individuals who fled the location but were unable to find them. Investigators believe this incident was isolated and state there are no concerns regarding public safety. The homicide unit is currently investigating, and police urge anyone who was around 2700 Simcoe Street North between 7:30 p. m. and 9:00 p. m. with video footage of the event to reach out to authorities.Source link
