In Loving Memory of Samuel George James
With great sadness, we share that our father, Samuel George James, 85 years old from Thunder Bay, passed away peacefully in the hospital on July 28, 2026.
Samuel was born to William “George” James 1910-1998 and Roma Anna James (née Vannasse) 1917-1993 on May 24, 1941 in Kenora, Ontario. He lived there until he moved to Thunder Bay in the mid-‘70s with his wife, Ramona James (née White) and their young children Trudy, Tina and Tim.
Samuel is survived by his three children, several nieces and nephews, along with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his parents George and Roma, his sister Roma Moore (née James) 1943-2009 and younger brother George James 1944-2017.
The immediate family will welcome friends and family for the interment of Sam’s ashes (10am Lake of the Woods Cemetery) followed by a Celebration of Life (12 – 3pm at the Rideout Community Club) on Saturday, May 22, 2027 in Kenora, Ontario.
