Mrs. Pina Curciarello (Stalteri), age 81, passed away quietly on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at the Thunder Bay Regional Hospital with her loving family by her side. Pina was born in Siderno in Calabria, Italy, on August 25th, 1944. At the age of 23, she made the journey to Canada to join her devoted husband of 51 years, Domenico Curciarello.
Pina’s life centered around her family. She poured her heart into making sure everyone around her felt loved and cared for. Her strength was remarkable, and she supported her family through every significant moment in their lives. The emptiness left by her passing is impossible to measure. Pina was also a true friend to those who were fortunate enough to know her and a long-time member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, where she found comfort and support each week.
Pina will be dearly missed and always remembered by her sons, Antonio Curciarello and Giuseppe Curciarello; son-in-law John Kolic; and her beloved grandchildren Luka and Gabriella Kolic.
Pina is predeceased by her caring husband Domenico Curciarello and her dear daughter Rosetta Curciarello-Kolic.
The funeral service for Pina Curciarello will take place on Monday, February 2, 2026, at St. Anthony’s Roman Catholic Church. Family and friends are welcome to attend the Funeral Mass at 12:00 p. m., celebrated by Fr. Luigi Filippini. Visitation will be held before the Mass from 11:00 a. m. to 12:00 p. m. at the church located at 123 Hilldale Road. A reception will follow at Sargent and Sons Funeral Home on North Court Street.
