She passed away peacefully on December 11, 2025, at the age of 78, after a brave fight. She was a loving wife to Stojan for 56 wonderful years. Zivka was a devoted mother to Sonja Grbevski (Peco) and Dean Jovanovski (Shauna). As a proud and caring Baba, she adored her grandchildren Jessica, Jennifer (Adam), Nicole (Josef), Peter (Emily), Olivia, Ava, Zachary, and was also a great-grandmother to Aksel and Benjamin.
Zivka was a loving sister to Olga (Strecko), the late Zivko (late Mira), Stanko (Nada), and the late Branko (Blaga). She was also a dear sister-in-law of the late Blagun (late Mira), the late Pera (late Bozidar), Ljubo (Pavlina), and Fanka (Spiro).
Together with Stojan, Zivka proudly ran Steve and Eddy’s Fish and Chips as well as Tecumseh Trevi Restaurants. Her hard work and welcoming spirit made an impact on many people.
Zivka showed incredible strength and grace throughout her life. Her unwavering love for her family and generous nature were apparent in everything she did. Her kindness reached everyone around her, showcasing her hardworking attitude in all that she accomplished. Outside of all her roles, Zivka enjoyed simple pleasures like taking care of her beloved gardens. She especially loved growing peppers that thrived under her care, reflecting the warmth she brought to every part of her life.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the caring staff at Aspen Lake on the Walkerville floor, Dr. Laura Voltic, and everyone whose kindness and support surrounded Zivka during this journey. Your compassion will always be remembered.
