We are heartbroken to share the news of our dear Dad, Victor Yorke, passing away. He left us peacefully while receiving loving care at Brouillette Manor.
Victor was born to Mrs Gemima Yorke and Mr Albert Benjamin Yorke in Sekondi Takoradi, West Ghana. He later moved to Canada, where he spent his remaining years.
Victor was a gentle and humble man who had a deep love for God, his family, and his favorite team (The Detroit Lions). One of his greatest pleasures in life was music. He enjoyed many genres but especially loved African tunes and R& B soul. He really looked forward to family gatherings, particularly his annual combined birthday BBQ celebration. It brought him joy to ensure that everyone around him felt happy.
Victor will be missed by his children Eudora, Bo (Jen), Joel (Tamara), & Victoria (Andrew). His wife, Gifty Yorke, will forever hold him close in her heart. Grandpa “Papa” will be greatly missed by his wonderful grandchildren Alyssa, Jaylan, Cameron, Brooklyn, Chandler, Xzayvier & Mireya. Other close family members will always treasure their memories of him as well. We are truly grateful to the Owusu/Smith family for the love and friendship they shared with him throughout the years.
Victor leaves behind his sisters Adelaide & Dorothy and numerous nieces and nephews while being predeceased by his sister Regina & daughter Deanna.
Though we’ve lost a great man, Heaven has gained an angel! He’ll live on in our hearts through our fondest memories of him. A Celebration of Life is set for November 20, 2025, at Windsor Chapel Banwell (11677 Tecumseh Rd. East, Windsor, ON) from 11:30 am until 1 pm. Cremation will follow. Online condolences in Victor’s memory can be made at www. windsorchapel. com
