We are heartbroken to share that Ron Drouillard passed away on October 28, 2025, at the age of 79, at The Village at St. Clair Long Term Care Home.

He was a loving husband to Shirley Drouillard (née Gauthier) and a devoted father to Darrin (Chantal) Drouillard, Terri Pitre, and Michael (Michelle) Drouillard. He will be remembered fondly as a grandfather by Arianna (Cody), Daniella, Amelia, Thomas, Logan, and Leah.

Ron was also the dear brother of the late Janet (Mark) Perron and leaves behind Sandra Stubbs, Glen (late Brenda) Drouillard, Dean Drouillard, Deborah (Mike) Hickling, and Kim (Dave) Vriesinga. He was a brother-in-law to Don (Carol), Deanna (Bob), Cliff (Sylvia), Mike (Sue), Trish, Ann Marie (Dan), Nancy (Gil), Lorette, Sandra (Ted), and Cindy (Ken).

He was the son of Raymond and Antoinette Drouillard who have both passed on. He was also a son-in-law to Annabelle (Ernie) Bridgen who is no longer with us. Ron will be deeply missed by many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Ron spent his life helping others. At just 17 years old he began serving as a medic in the Canadian Armed Forces for eight years. After that he worked for 31 years as a paramedic in Windsor and Essex County where he saved countless lives. His commitment to community service continued with various volunteer roles including being a Scouter with the 35th Tecumseh Scout Troop and establishing Med Vents-a paramedic-focused Venturer company-in Essex County. He also served on the executive committee of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 261.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to all staff at both the Amherstburg and Harrow neighbourhoods of The Village at St Clair for their exceptional care over these past eight-and-a-half years. Your compassion has meant so much.

Visitation will take place at Windsor Chapel (Banwell Chapel), located at 11677 Tecumseh Rd. E., Windsor on Saturday, November 1 from 2-5 p. m. and again from 7-9 p. m., with a Legion Service scheduled for 4 p. m. Cremation will follow.

In honor of Ron’s dedication to the annual Legion Poppy Campaign-where he served many years as Poppy Chair-the family requests that donations be made in his memory to the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 261 Poppy Fund. Lest we Forget.
