AWAD – Patricia “Patsy” (Gauthier)
Patricia Awad passed away on June 4, 2025, at Windsor Regional Hospital, Met Campus. We like to think she’s reunited with her dad, Gary, who passed away in 2006. Maybe they’re sharing a laugh over a martini.
She was a caring mom to Kelly (Scott) Reimer, Mitchell Awad, Glenn Awad, and Jodi Mason. Her grandkids Alexa Reimer, Nicholas Rajic, Kristi Mason, and Devon (Dorothea) Mason meant the world to her. Patricia was the daughter of Arthur and Diana Gauthier. Her siblings Ronald (Noreen), Richard (Karen), and Robert (Claudette) Gauthier passed before her, but she stayed close with her half-sister Marie Schram. She was also loved by her in-laws Emerald and Evelyn Awad and had many siblings-in-law along with nieces and nephews who will miss her greatly.
Patricia worked at Chrysler Canada for many years. She enjoyed being part of the Windsor Yacht Club and spent time with the Kukagami Lake Campers Association for a long time. She was fun at euchre games and themed parties by the lake. People loved her laugh and her special martini recipe.
She passed away at 5 p.m., which is now called “Patsy Hour.” Her family plans to toast to her each evening at this time.
Following her wishes, she has been cremated. Friends and family can visit at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Banwell Chapel), 11677 Tecumseh Rd E (519-253-7235) on Monday, June 9, 2025 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, June 10, 2025 at 11:30 a.m., followed by a private inurnment at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
