In Loving Memory of Maurizio Mastroianni
It is with deep sadness that we share the sudden passing of Maurizio Mastroianni on October 31, 2025, at the age of 43.
Maurizio was a devoted son to Santino and Dina (née Lepore) Mastroianni. He was a loving big brother to Romeo and has now been joyfully reunited in heaven with his brother Celestino (2019). He was a cherished grandson of Luisa Lepore and an adored nephew to Loreta, Rocco, and Rose. Many cousins and extended family across Canada, Italy, and France will always remember him fondly. He took pride in being an extraordinary Padrino to Lily and Kum to Noah. His countless friends and colleagues will also feel his absence deeply; he touched many lives during his journey.
A proud alumnus of Lawrence Technological University, Maurizio graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology in August 2006. His career kicked off at Continental, where he dedicated 15 years that showcased his talent and passion for innovation, ultimately moving from an internship to Engineer Supervisor. His job allowed him to travel worldwide, embracing new experiences, cultures, and friendships that would last forever. Most recently, he shared his expertise at General Motors (GM), where he continued to shine.
Maurizio’s enthusiasm for life shone through everything he did. He had a knack for being the life of any gathering; the atmosphere brightened whenever he entered the room. His ability to make others smile or laugh was truly special. Whether it was tackling home projects or showing off his cooking skills in the kitchen, he never failed to impress those around him. His famous personalized ciambelle became synonymous with his warmth as they were lovingly baked for every occasion. Maurizio showed love for his friends and family through every action-friends were never “just friends” but rather part of his family. To them all, he often said: “I F-ing love you guys.”
Family and friends are invited to honor Maurizio’s life at Windsor Chapel (Central Chapel), located at 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. (519-253-7234), on Thursday, November 6, 2025, from 2:00-5:00 p. m., and again from 7:00-9:00 p. m. Parish prayers will take place at 4:30 p. m.
A Funeral Service is scheduled for Friday, November 7, 2025, starting at 8:45 a. m., beginning at the funeral home before proceeding to St. Angela Merici Church for Funeral Mass at 9:30 a. m., followed by entombment at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
