In Loving Memory of Maurizio Mastroianni
It is with great sorrow that we share the sudden passing of Maurizio Mastroianni on October 31, 2025, at the age of 43.
He was a loving son to Santino and Dina (née Lepore) Mastroianni. A cherished big brother to Romeo, now joyfully reunited in heaven with his brother Celestino (2019). He was also a beloved grandson of Luisa Lepore and an adored nephew to Loreta, Rocco, and Rose. Maurizio will be fondly remembered by his many cousins and extended family across Canada, Italy, and France. He took pride in being a fantastic Padrino to Lily and Kum to Noah. His countless friends and colleagues will miss him deeply, as well as all those whose lives he brightened throughout his journey.
Maurizio graduated from Lawrence Technological University with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology in August 2006. His career kicked off at Continental, where he dedicated over 15 years of hard work, talent, and passion for innovation. He climbed the ranks from intern to Engineer Supervisor. His job allowed him to travel around the globe, where he embraced new cultures and formed lasting friendships. Recently, he shared his expertise at General Motors (GM), where he continued to thrive.
Maurizio’s love for life shone through everything he did. He had an incredible knack for lighting up any room he entered. With his charm and humor, he made people smile, laugh, and even dance. His talents were limitless-whether it was tackling home improvement projects or whipping up delicious meals in the kitchen. His famous personalized ciambelle became a symbol of his kindness as they were lovingly prepared for every special occasion. Maurizio expressed his love for friends and family through every gesture; to him, friends were never “just friends”-they were family. And to his “family,” he often reminded them simply: “I F-ing love you guys.”
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Maurizio’s life at Windsor Chapel (Central Chapel), 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. (519-253-7234), on Thursday, November 6, 2025, from 2:00-5:00 p. m., with another session from 7:00-9:00 p. m. Parish prayers will take place at 4:30 p. m.
