With great sadness, we share the news of our dear Viola Bezanson, who peacefully passed away in the early morning hours of June 16, 2025, after a courageous fight with cancer. Viola was a loving daughter, sister, partner, aunt, and friend; her absence will be felt deeply by everyone who had the joy of knowing her. Viola was skilled in many areas and had numerous interests. She was a devoted dog mom to her sweet Tessa and an enthusiastic crafter-making beautiful quilts and detailed cross-stitches that she generously gave to friends and family over the years. Her passion for thrifting brought happiness to those who joined her on those adventures, as she had a knack for discovering treasures that mirrored her unique personality. For 32 years, Viola served as a cook at Valley View Villa. She also held positions at several other places like Digby Pines, Chris’s Place, McCraes, and McLeod’s among others. Viola’s enthusiasm for life and work remained strong throughout her career; she was a constant source of positivity wherever she went. Viola is survived by her loving partner Bob Nason Jr., her mother Donelda Bezanson; her brother Burce Bezanson (Gordie); and sisters Cindy MacLean (Ed), Cathy Coady, Karen Smith (Donnie), and Lee Bezanson (Dennis). She is also remembered by her sisters-in-law Gail Nason and Janet Baxter along with nieces and nephews Matthew, Katherine, Megan, Ashley, Michelle as well as great nephews Max, Leeland, Tristan, Finn, great niece Peanut, plus many extended family members. She was predeceased by her father Donald Bezanson. A visitation will be held on Thursday, June 19, 2025 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Eagles Funeral Home in Westville. A celebration of Viola’s life will take place following at 3:00 pm. Burial will follow at Thorburn Cemetery.
