HILTON, Mary Lou (Mac Kenzie)
November 20, 1935 – September 29, 2025
We are heartbroken to share that Mary Lou Hilton has passed away at the age of 89. She is now reunited with her husband Albert (2022) on their wedding anniversary. Loving mother of Craig, David and Douglas (Enza). Proud Nana of Courtney (Jacob) Banks, Victoria (Austin Jennings) and Olivia. In heaven, she joins her beloved parents David and Mary (Mae) Mac Kenzie. Her grand-dogs Champ, Vinnie and Albert will also miss her dearly. She was thankful for the love and care from the residents and staff at Kensington Court, which felt like home to her. After graduating from Riverside High School, she earned a Nursing degree from Grace Hospital in 1956. For two years, she traveled around the world nursing in various countries before finishing a fulfilling career of over twenty years with Ford Motor Company where she formed lasting friendships during her long retirement.
Mary Lou will be remembered as a dedicated wife and mother who had a warm smile and a generous heart that made everyone feel welcome. Whether listening to others or cooking up a favorite dish, she shared kindness and authenticity with so many people’s lives. She took immense pride in her three grand-daughters and celebrated all their achievements while encouraging them to be strong, compassionate individuals.
A lifelong member of Riverside United Church, Mary Lou enjoyed being part of the Bell Choir there and looked forward to weekly coffee chats with friends from church. A wide circle of family and friends will deeply miss Mary Lou but will carry on her memory fondly. Although she’s no longer with us physically, her impact remains in the hearts of those she loved.
Visitation will take place at Windsor Chapel Funeral Home (Banwell Chapel) 11677 Tecumseh Rd. E. (519)253-7235 on Wednesday, October 1, 2025 from 2 -5pm and again from 7 -9pm.
