Mary passed away peacefully just shy of her 100th birthday. She is now reunited with her husband, Howard (1991). She was a loving mother to Jim (Donna), Elaine, John, and Marty (Debbie). Her daughter Jeanette predeceased her in 2016. Mary was a cherished grandmother to Denise (Tim), Shawn (Donna), David, Brianne, Robert (Amanda), Tracey (Chris), Tom, Sarah (Ryan), and Nicole. As a great grandmother, she adored London (Denny), Skya, Sarah (Matt), Allison (Jaime), Ella, Kailey (Frank), Levi (Meagan), Scotty, Bobby, and Dylan. She was also a loving great-great grandmother to Henry, Elora, Theo, Terra, Lincoln, Oliver, Scarlett, and Kyliee. Mary was preceded in death by her parents Peter and Anna Ivanski along with siblings Jessie, Steve, and Pearl. May they all find joy together in heaven.

Born in Ukraine, Mary’s family moved to Saskatchewan when she was three years old. They settled on a homestead in Yellow Creek where they farmed for many years. Later on, she joined her sister Pearl in Windsor. Mary had a knack for homemaking; she loved baking delicious treats and cooking hearty meals while also enjoying gardening and crafting. She created lovely silk flower arrangements and always sought out beautiful baskets. Together with Howie, they made many friends through card games or dancing at the legion. They enjoyed spending their time outdoors in their yard as well. A big fan of country music classics like Patsy Cline and Johnny Cash, Mary often sang along to their songs while Howie patiently waited during her shopping trips at the mall. Their home hosted countless joyful holiday gatherings filled with laughter and love that will be remembered forever.

Friends can pay their respects during visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Central Chapel) located at 1700 Tecumseh Rd E. (519-253-7234) on Tuesday March 24th from 2:00 – 5:00pm and again from 7:00 – 9:00pm. The visitation will continue on Wednesday March 25th starting at noon until the Funeral Service takes place at 1:00pm in the chapel followed by interment at Evergreen Cemetery. Online condolences along with cherished memories can be shared with the family at www. windsorchapel. com
