Margaret Ann (Langille) Silver, age 90, of Dartmouth, formerly Mount William.

We are heartbroken to share that our Mom and Gramma passed away on July 26, 2025 at Ocean View Continuing Care Centre in Eastern Passage after a long fight with Alzheimer’s.

Born in Stellarton, N. S. on August 5th, 1934, she was the daughter of Josephine Kennedy and Victor Langille. Mom enjoyed a nice cup of tea, growing flowers, and looking after stray animals that wandered into her home. She loved reading and learning new things; she took classes in typing, sewing, and painting among others. As an adult, she learned how to swim, played softball, and earned multiple belts in Karate. In her 40s, she went back to school to become a CNA and scored top marks in Canada on her National Certification Exam. She worked at Dartmouth General Hospital. Music and dancing were also big parts of her life; she might have won a twisting contest or two back in the day..

She leaves behind Daughter Brenda, Son Robert (Audrey), Grandchildren – Jason(Aimee), Kelly, Brian, and Scott (Julia), along with Great Grandchildren – Elliot and Felix. Surviving her are Sisters – Helen, Alice (Vernon), Joan, and Carolyn.

Margaret was predeceased by Gordon, her dear husband of 75 years, as well as Sisters – Shirley, Jackie, and Audrey.

She is resting at Eagles’ Funeral Home -1611 North Main St., Westville, N. S. Visitation will take place from 10-11 am on Friday August 1st with the funeral service following at 11 with Reverend Gail Murdock officiating. A reception will be held afterwards at Eagles. Burial will occur at Heatherdale Memorial Gardens in Sylvester.

A heartfelt thanks to the staff at Ocean View for their kind and caring support during Mom’s time there. We also want to give a shout-out to her hairstylist(s) for letting her showcase their many styles. You’ve become extended family who will always hold a special spot in our hearts.

Online condolences can be shared at www. eaglesfuneralhome. ca.
