Margaret Ann (Langille) Silver, age 90, of Dartmouth, formerly Mount William.
We are heartbroken to share that our Mom and Gramma passed away on July 26, 2025 at Ocean View Continuing Care Centre in Eastern Passage after a long fight with Alzheimer’s.
Born in Stellarton, N. S. on August 5th, 1934, she was the Daughter of Josephine Kennedy and Victor Langille. Mom enjoyed a good cup of tea, growing flowers, and looking after any animals that came her way. She loved reading and learning new things throughout her life. She took courses in typing, sewing, and painting among others. As an adult, she learned to swim, played softball, and earned several belts in Karate. In her 40s she went back to school to become a CNA and excelled on her National Certification Exam with top marks in Canada. She worked at Dartmouth General Hospital. Music and dancing brought her joy too; she might have even won a twisting contest or two back in the day..
She will be missed by Daughter Brenda, Son Robert (Audrey), Grandchildren – Jason(Aimee), Kelly, Brian, and Scott (Julia), along with Great Grandchildren – Elliot and Felix. She is also survived by Sisters – Helen, Alice (Vernon), Joan, and Carolyn.
Margaret was predeceased by Gordon, her cherished Husband of 75 years, as well as Sisters – Shirley, Jackie, and Audrey.
You can pay your respects at Eagles’ Funeral Home -1611 North Main St., Westville, N. S. Visitation will be held from 10-11 am on Friday August 1st; the funeral service will follow at 11 am with Reverend Gail Murdock officiating. There will be a reception afterward at Eagles. Burial will take place at Heatherdale Memorial Gardens in Sylvester.
A heartfelt thanks goes out to the Staff at Ocean View for their loving care they provided Mom during her time there. Special mention goes to her hair stylist(s) who let her showcase their many styles; we consider you Extended Family who hold a special place in our hearts forever.
