We are saddened to share the news of our strong and vibrant mother, Madeline Drouillard, who was married to Norman Arthur for 47 years. She passed away peacefully last week at the age of 95. Her incredible kindness, strength, and lively spirit left a mark on everyone lucky enough to know her.

She was the daughter of Patrick Pare and Rosalie (nee Ranger), and is survived by her sister, Angeline Pare. She was predeceased by six siblings.

A loving mother to Catherine Milligan (late Edward), Gary and Pamela Drouillard, Karen Howard (late Tony), Jackie and Mark Fuerth, Michele Dionne (Pascal), Rick and Leslie Drouillard. A proud Meme to 11 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

Madeline graduated from Hotel Dieu Hospital as a Registered Nurse in 1951 and became a Nurse Anesthetist in 1964. She devoted her time to volunteering for various charities and service organizations like Alhambra, Knights of Columbus, and Iris House. Gardening, bowling, and golfing were some of her favorite activities that she enjoyed until the very end.

We will always be thankful for the countless memories, invaluable lessons, and stories she shared with us. While we grieve her absence in our lives, we find comfort in remembering her favorite sayings and the many stories that made her uniquely herself.

Visitation will take place from 2-5 pm and 7-9 pm at Windsor Chapel Funeral Home (Banwell) (11677 Tecumseh Rd. E. – 519-253-7235) on Tuesday, September 23, 2025 with prayers at 7:30 pm. The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Anne’s Parish (12233 Tecumseh Rd E, Windsor, ON) on Wednesday, September 24, 2025 with visitation starting at 10 am, mass at 11 am followed by burial at Heavenly Rest Cemetery at 12pm.
