It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Joel Hughes, who left us on September 27th, 2025. Joel is survived by numerous family members and friends who are mourning his absence.
During his best moments, Joel was a son who genuinely wanted to make his parents proud – Cathi Fram (late Phil) and Paul Hughes (Lynda).
He was a brother who always praised his siblings and would have gone to great lengths to protect them – Jennifer Roy (Serge), Jessica Hughes (Joe), Colleen Thompson (Marty), Lisa Mc Cubbin (Dave), Rob Fram (Ginger), Shannon Golla (late Chris), Jennifer Golla, and Keith Golla (Katie).
He was an uncle to many wonderful nieces and nephews, who will sadly never fully experience the depth of his humor and kindness.
The Joel we all knew and loved was selfless, funny, and full of energy. He will be greatly missed and always remembered.
Family and friends can gather at Windsor Chapel Funeral Home – Central Chapel (1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. 519-253-7234) on Wednesday, October 8, 2025 from 11am – 1pm, with a funeral service starting at 1pm. Cremation will follow. In lieu of flowers, please think about making a donation to The Canadian Mental Health Association – Windsor /Essex Branch.
