We are heartbroken to announce the passing of Joel Hughes, who left us on September 27th, 2025. Joel is survived by many family members and friends who are mourning his loss.

During his best days, Joel was a son who genuinely wanted to make his parents proud – Cathi Fram (late Phil) and Paul Hughes (Lynda).

He was a brother who always had kind words for his siblings and would have done anything to keep them safe – Jennifer Roy (Serge), Jessica Hughes (Joe), Colleen Thompson (Marty), Lisa Mc Cubbin (Dave), Rob Fram (Ginger), Shannon Golla (late Chris), Jennifer Golla, and Keith Golla (Katie).

He was an uncle to many amazing nieces and nephews, who will sadly never get to experience the full extent of his humour and kindness.

The Joel we all knew and loved was generous, funny, and full of life. He will be greatly missed and forever remembered.

Family and friends are invited to gather at Windsor Chapel Funeral Home – Central Chapel (1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. 519-253-7234) on Wednesday, October 8, 2025 from 11am – 1pm, followed by a funeral service at 1pm. Cremation will take place afterwards. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to The Canadian Mental Health Association – Windsor /Essex Branch.
