It is with great sadness that we share the news of Hugh “Jim” James Clarkson’s passing, who has now joined his loving wife of 52 years, Linda.

Jim will be deeply missed by his children, Doug Clarkson, Brandie (Martin) Brennan, and Dan (Samantha) Clarkson. He was a wonderful Papa to Connor, Grace, Logan, William, Abby, and Gabby.

He is fondly remembered by his sister, Diane Lanoue. He was predeceased by his brothers, Larry and Gary Clarkson, as well as his parents, Daniel and Vera Clarkson. Jim will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, in-laws, friends and neighbors.

Jim spent 33 years inspiring young minds as an elementary school teacher with the Greater Essex County District School Board. He was also a dedicated community leader who served as a Boy Scout leader and coached with Windsor Central Little League.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the doctors and staff at Windsor Regional Hospital – Ouellette Campus ICU for their caring support.

A visitation will take place at Windsor Chapel Funeral Home – Banwell Chapel (11677 Tecumseh Rd. E, 519 253 7235) on Sunday September 14th, 2025 from 2-5pm and 7-9pm. It will continue on Monday September 15th from 9am until the funeral service at 10am, followed by cremation. Online condolences and cherished memories can be shared with the family at www. windsorchapel. com
