She passed away peacefully at home as she wanted on August 8, 2026. Loving wife of the late Vladimir. Caring and devoted mother of Fr. Tosa Gacanin (Nadine) and the late Miriana. Proud grandmother of Sofia, Melenia, Peter, and Alexandra. Cherished great-grandmother of 10. Survived by her sister Rada in Serbia.
Gospava enjoyed a long and happy life. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and taking care of her beautiful garden right up to her final days. People will remember her warmth and the delicious meals she cooked for family and friends. She was proud to be a longtime member of Holy Trinity Russian Orthodox Church where her son Fr. Tosa has served as Priest for over 40 years.
She will be missed by everyone whose lives she touched.
The arrangements have been handled by Windsor Chapel Funeral Home, (3048 Dougall Ave., Windsor 519-253-7236). Visiting hours will be at Holy Trinity Russian Orthodox Church (1410 Drouillard Rd., Windsor ON) on Monday, August 10 from 6-9pm. Visiting will continue at the church on Tuesday, August 11 at 9:30am until the Funeral Service starts in the church at 10:30am. Interment at Windsor Memorial Gardens will follow.
